Israel Júnior BORGES DO NASCIMENTO is a Pharmacist, Physician, and a board-certified Clinical Pathologist. He holds three academic titles from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), ranked as the 7th finest university in Latin America. Currently, he is enrolled in a post-graduation program in Comparative Effectiveness Research at the Université Paris Cité (France), and a Fellow in Cardiology at the Brazilian School of Medicine (Brazil). He has spent over a decade being part of cutting-edge research on Cardiovascular Diseases. Additionally, he has been working with Evidence-based Medicine at three Cochrane Centers (Sweden, Croatia, and Brazil). He is also a medical consultant for the WHO (European Regional Office). Recently, Dr. Borges created and coordinated one of the most renowned International Task Forces for combating the COVID-19 pandemic, in collaboration with researchers from more than 40 nationalities.
