Dr. Kenneth A. Mundt, PhD, FACE, is an epidemiologist with professional interest and experience in applying epidemiological concepts and methods to understand human health risks from environmental, occupational and consumer product exposures. Dr. Mundt is Senior Principal Health Scientist at Cardno ChemRIsk – a consultancy specializing in evaluating human health risks – and Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology. He resides in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Mundt received his MS in Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina. He is Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology, and of Environmental Health Sciences, at the University of South Carolina. He is Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Associate Director of the Institute for Global Health, and member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Mundt is a Member of the Board, American University of the Caribbean, Haiti, and Secretary General of MEDICHEM, a global society fostering cooperation among health professionals promoting the safe production and use of chemicals.

In addition to teaching epidemiological concepts and methods, Dr. Mundt has designed, conducted and published numerous epidemiological studies and critical reviews and syntheses of the published literature. He is active in the development of methods for integrating evidence across lines of evidence including epidemiology, toxicology and exposure science, especially as they inform science-based regulation and decision-making.
